This is a favorite dish of Maharashtrian people in India. It is also called “kande pohe”, and is traditionally made during a matrimonial get together when the boy’s family meets with the girl’s family. My grandson Meyash loves this dish and I make it whenever I visit him. Everyone in the family enjoys this dish and is made frequently at home.
